Review: LPG facial endermologie [do endermolift treatments really work?]

As you may know, I advocate natural methods to keep the skin in its best shape. So one treatment I cannot miss to review is the LPG facial Endermologie. One of the leading natural anti aging treatments out there.

I’ve tried this endermolift treatment many times myself. And I have both positive and negative aspects to share about it.

In this post, I’ll explain exactly what LPG endermolift is and what it does to your skin. As well as my personal experience of this treatment.

This is what I’ll cover:

What is LPG Endermologie?

LPG Endermologie is a patented mechanical vacuum massage technology. With the purpose of stimulating the cells in our skin.

This, in turn, is said to cause a natural lifting effect, decrease wrinkles and fine lines. And provide a more youthful complexion. Both short term and long term.

It is a 100 % natural and non-invasive method. And the company behind claims that this technology increases the production of collagen, elastin (with 46%), and hyaluronic acid (with 80%). And that you’ll see both an immediate effect as well as a long term skin rejuvenation.

The machine has many different settings. It can work to firm the skin, tone the skin, increase glowyness, decrease puffiness, and even help reduce a double chin.

The machine can also be used on the body. But just to be clear. This blog post is only a review of the LPG facial since I have not tried the body treatment.

LPG Facial Endermologie - my review of this endermolift facial massage
In this post, I’ll explain what LPG Facial Endermologie is and what it does to your skin. And most importantly, my own experience of this massage machine.

How does LPG Facial Endermologie work?

The endermolift machine head gives your face a massage as well as micro-pulsations that stimulate the skin cells. This cell stimulation helps the fibroblasts to increase the production of collagen and elastin. And to increase the content of hyaluronic acid in our skin (read this post to see more natural ways to increase your own Hyaluronic acid production for plump skin).

If you’re not familiar with fibroblasts, these are the cells in the dermis that are responsible for producing collagen and elastin. The proteins that make your skin smooth and tight, and that declines with age (and bad lifestyle).

Hyaluronic acid is on the other hand a type of sugar molecule. It works as a humectant and binds water to the skin. To make it hydrated and plumped. The production is also decreasing with age and bad lifestyle habits.

So the long term effects of doing LPG facial regulary are more elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. Molecules that make our skin more youthful.

You will need quite a lot of treatments to really see the long term benefits though.

But even after just one treatment, you will see some other benefits due to the increased lymphatic drainage and blood circulation.

These are the immediate (and temporary) effects you can expect directly after your first session with LPG facial:

  • Skin glow, due to the increased blood circulation.
  • Lifting effect, due to the vacuum massage.
  • Reduced under-eye bags and dark circles, due to the extra circulation and lymph drainage.
  • More defined contours due to the lifting effect and lymph drainage.

To get a picture of what the treatment looks like, you can check out this short video from LPG:

Is this treatment effective?- my personal review

I have been doing this treatment every once in a while for the last 3 years (from that I was 37).

I remember how impressed I was after that first session. How amazingly relaxing the treatment was. And how much more awake and refreshed I looked. I also thought it helped (some) with puffiness under my eyes. Which is something I’ve struggled quite alot with when I had bad nights sleep.

From that day I have done the treatment sometimes once per month, sometimes 1 per 6 months. And for a few weeks, I even tried it two times per week.

Today I do it no more than maybe once every second month. And I’ll tell you why.

It’s not that I don’t think the treatment is effective. Because I truly think it is. And I can see an uplifting effect and increased glowiness just after one treatment. Perfect do to before a party or other special occasion.

But there are two reasons why I don’t do this treatment more often. The first reason is that after discovering Microcurrent, I noticed that using microcurrent devices on my face actually gave me better results. My wallet got happy too since I can do those treatments at home.

I see a much more remarkable effect from the microcurrent treatments when it comes to skin tightening and glowyness. And these treatments also help a lot more with under-eye puffiness. Which is my largest concern.

Microcurrent also helps long term with increased production of collagen, and elastin. And it stimulates the fibroblasts too. As well as increase blood flow and lymphatic drainage.

Since microcurrent also restores muscles in your face, you get effective treatment for volume loss and sagging skin. You can read my full blog post about microcurrent here

The second reason I want to mention is that I felt that doing the LPG facial too often (when I tried two per week) wasn’t tolerated well by my skin.  Even once per week was too much. It was as if my skin simply couldn’t handle that much vacuum massage. Instead, my skin got stressed and it felt as if the treatment did more damage than it did good.

I am very sensitive so this is probably just a problem for me and others with hypersensitive skin. Let me know in the comments if you have any experiences. I would love to hear 🙂

Anyway. I still love LPG facial. And I love the feeling of getting this treatment. It is amazing! I almost fall asleep every time.

So I will continue to do the treatment every once in a while. Even though microcurrent is my number one choice these days.

Tip: See my post about hooded eyes and saggy eyelids to learn the causes and natural treatments.

The company behind – LPG Endermologie

This company is originally from France but is now spread all over the world. Their Endermologie technique was developed as early as in the 80s, as a treatment for scarring and severe burn victims.

The company is very clear about its ground values regarding natural beauty. Which are just the same values as I have. And I really appreciate them for that.

You can read more about them here. And from that link, you can also find a treatment clinic near you if you want to give it a try.

Summary

  • So in short. LPG facial Endermologie is a treatment that gives an instant (and temporary) lifting effect, skin tightening, and reduced swelling.
  • It will also, especially when done over time, increase the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Which all will provide a more youthful complexion of your skin.
  • This Endermolift treatment is performed with a special machine that gives a certain kind of vacuum massage. It has a wide range of settings and is super relaxing and comfortable.
  • Personally, I love this treatment. But I have honestly seen better results with using Microcurrent. And have therefore chosen that treatment over this one.

I would say that endermologie is the next best natural treatment for anti aging. But microcurrent has some more benefits, and can also be done at my own home. Whenever I want. If you want to learn more about the devices I use, see this post.

Hope you found this post helpful. If you have your own experiences with LPG facial Endermologie, please let me know in the comments below.

And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments too 🙂

Also, never forget the basics for preventing skin aging. No matter what treatment you do, you will not see many noticeable long term results unless you follow these three basic rules for preventing wrinkles.

And if you’re concerned about nasolabial folds, jowls, or sunken cheeks. Then I suggest you read my posts about those specific concerns.

Until next time, love your skin!
